EMOTIONS

Embracing your emotions.

The diverse set of emotions that we experience as human beings is incredible. According to a study published by Alan S. Cowen and Dacher Keltner, PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, in the Proceedings of National Academy of Sciences, humans have over 27 different emotions!

It’s important to embrace the entire range of your emotions. If you’re happy and joyful, celebrate it. If you’re frustrated, it could be a clue that something needs to change. If you’re sad, it could mean that you need support, love, and self-care to lift your spirits up.

We all go through hard times and experience negative emotions. It’s important to recognize that a bout of sadness, frustration, or even anger is a part of the human condition. There is nothing wrong with having these feelings.

This is not to be confused with serious mental health issues. In the case of serious emotional or mental health issues, it’s important to seek the advice and care of a trained medical professional. Please contact your medical provider to obtain treatment and support.
